Questions
1. Do you think that they can realize  the program "Colombia very well" in that time? Why?
2. Do you consider that B2 is sufficient  for all Colombians ? Why?
3. Do you think that at this University we are preparing to meet that goal? Why?

  1. Hello Eli, I hope you are doing well!
    1. I do no understand well your question, but I will try to answer it. If you are talking about whether they will achieve the goal in the established time, I would say: NO, as I said in another blog, they have to think better the current Public Policy if they want to get good results.
    2. It depends on the job. If a person (anyone) does not need English for her/his job, it would be enough with B1. (I think so).
    3. Well, I consider that in our university is still missing improving ways of teaching English. They take too much into account the 'Speaking' and that is good (I am not trying to blame anyone), but I think they should go deeper into anything that involves teaching English. But it is also important to highlight that training is up to us as well. Everything goes in motivation that everyone has to learn.

  2. Hello.
    1) As duvan said we don't understand the question very well but we are going to try to answer it.
We consider that the time frame of the program is not enough because they are generalizing something that is impossible to do it. They need to concentrate in some areas first and in that way they would be able to get good results, but this take a lot of time, not just 10 years.

    2) It depends of needs of people and that is something very subjective because the priorities are particulars. Also we need to have clear that in Colombia exist many urban tribes and they don't speak Spanish as the native language so in that case is difficult to say that English have to be necessary for all colombians because in that specific case they need a B2 but in spanish.

    3) We think that the university try to do the best but is not enough, we need more English and we need to know how to teach.

  3. 1. I don't know I prefer not to make any conjecture now, give it the time and we will see if it will work.
    2. Well for some colombians it's enought but for universities, work, companies and everything it's not.
    3. Sometimes, maybe they need to strengthen their programs.
